A: Big things Clothing is the brain child of Wesley T Chimuti and Gaylord T Mashoko from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. We are an urban street wear brand founded in 2007. We represent people who want to do it big in all aspects of their lives. If you can dream it, you can achieve it and why aim small when you have the potential to do it big.
Q: Where has Big Things Clothing been in terms of achievements? Where is it going?
A: We are Take Charge of your Life and Entrepreneurial Development Centre Africa alumni under Nina Mapili and Mirelle Matiwaza. We were also showcasing our summer collection last in August year at Fashion with a Purpose in Harare. We want to make it to Zim Fashion Week soon and from there, the world. We have something in the pipeline to before the end of this year.
Q: Does Big Things Clothing plan to influence Zimbabwe in any way? If so how?
A: Yes we do actually; we would like to change the mindset of the nation when it comes to street wear. Good quality clothes can be made right here in Zimbabwe. The design , print and feel of the clothes can match any international brand all we need to do is instill a sense of faith in the customers that what they are paying for is truly high quality and be unlimitedly creative on our part. We will not imitate what international brands do; we will put our country and continent on the fashion map by our own means.
A: We offer high quality, well designed, durable, stylish and affordable clothing. We do not just make street wear; we aim to make a statement with our street wear. Whatever is happening in the rest of the world fashion wise is being right here at home. So we give a great product that gives a sense of ownership to our customers.
