Cabbage in your cooking: A simple recipe



To feed 2

4 pieces of chicken, 1 medium tomato, 1 small onion, 1 table spoon butter, chicken stock, chicken spice, 1 quarter cabbage, salt to taste. Can be served with sadza, rice, mashed potatoes and so on.


Preheat oven at 200 degrees

Marinate chicken with spices and leave for 15 minutes

Grill chicken at 150 degrees until golden brown

Cut onion and tomato into small pieces

Fry onion at low heat for about 2 minutes then add half a teaspoon of garlic

Fry for another 2 minutes then add tomato

Stir for another minute

Then add thinly sliced cabbage and stir for another minute

Add stock and simmer for a few minutes

Avoid over cooking the vegetables to preserve the flavour and nutrients
