Matshediso Tshedi Florence Mholo is the embodiment of the new generation of young South African women; she exudes power, confidence, talent and most of all she is a woman with a vision. She is able to balance the demands many young women throughout South Africa are challenged with, Motherhood, career, the demanding schedule that each demands with a grace and common sense approach that makes sure that she is able to make the needed impact where she is needed.

How does she strike this balance? The answer is through experience, inspiration and application of methods that have seen her successfully climb the obstacles that have rendered so many helpless. Since she burst into the music scene with the multi-platinum album Malaika with the late Jabu Ndaba and Bongani Nchang, she is continuing to make a mark as a personality and an individual. Sheer determination has been the current of energy that has seen her scale the heights of a high profile woman on the South African, African and most recently global music scene.

She is one of the few recognizable faces and she is always on the road with her work – either in Johannesburg or other cities, townships and rural all over the country. Often times her popularity comes with the price of being mobbed by her adoring legion of fans.

What Tshedi (As she is commonly known to those closest to her) has accomplished in a relatively short space of time is the profile of in idol amongst our midst, however her humility keeps her grounded. Tshedi met fellow group members Bongani Nchang and the late Jabulani Ndaba in a church choir in 2003, while teaching music and drama at the Mmabana Cultural Centre in Mmabatho. Tshedi was born in a township called Boikhutso in Lichtenburg, in North West province and she has done a sterling job representing her hometown and province ever since.
