Cosafa Women Cup

The Cosafa Women Cup which is the most important tournament ever for women football in the Southern African region returns after 6 year absence. The return of the Cosafa Women Cup this time is very massive with a total of 12 countries battle out for the 2017 title.The tournament will be hosted in Zimbabwe second largest and cleanest city of Bulawayo from the 13th to the 24th of September. This is going to be the third time Zimbabwe has hosted the COSAFA Women Cup haven have hosted the 2002 and 2011 edition of the tournament.

South Africa Banyan ya  have won the most number of the Cosafa Women Cup title and will be seeking to clinch the Cup for the 4th time having have won it in 2002, 2006 and 2008 Zimbabwe Mighty Warriors are the defending champions and have one the cup once.As the current Cup holders and host Zimbabwe should be under instance pressure to clinch the cup for the second time Zimbabwe and South Africa are coming into this tournament as the favorite this is after both teams represented the African continent at last year Rio Olympics games.And also at the African Women Cup of Nations which were hosted by Cameroon last year.
