The British Film Institute (BFI) Southbank has been showcasing four inspirational films made by African people since December 2014 and this will end in March 2015. The African Odysseys is a new initiative to promote films by and about the people of Africa, from archive classics to new cinema. Each of these films contain educative messages that everyone can learn from. These are movies featuring black people from across the globe. I was at the screening of one of these movies, Invasion 1897 last Sunday (the 7th of February, 2015). I will be posting a review of this film soon.
